Your Gut Strategist | Founder, Innate Hands Functional Medicine PLLC
Built to heal. Built to perform.
I was sitting in a nutrition seminar during chiropractic school when the instructor started talking about leaky gut.
He mentioned gas, digestive problems, and then something that really caught my attention.
Skid marks in the toilet after a bowel movement.
Wait a minute. That happens to me!
I'd lived with bloating, gas, and diarrhea for years, but I'd never questioned that particular detail.
Now I wanted answers.
I started researching, asking questions, and taking the supplements recommended at the seminar. I noticed improvements almost immediately.
But whenever I stopped taking them, my symptoms returned.
I began changing my diet and lifestyle, too. When I was consistent, I felt great.
I thought I'd finally figured it out.
Nope. I wasn't done.
Whenever I slipped back into old habits, my digestive problems returned.
It took approximately 9 to 12 months before I felt my digestive health had significantly improved.
I'd lived with those problems for years. I eventually realized that improving my health would take time, even when I wasn't experiencing symptoms.
Feeling better didn't necessarily mean I was finished.
That experience changed how I think about supporting health over time.
You're the woman everyone counts on.
You manage meetings, deadlines, family responsibilities, and the unexpected.
But your digestion doesn't always cooperate.
Maybe you're fine in the morning, only to feel bloated and uncomfortable by afternoon.
Maybe you've eliminated foods, purchased supplements, and spent hours trying to figure out what's wrong.
Something helps for a while. Then the symptoms return.
You're used to solving problems. So why does this one keep coming back?
I understand that frustration. And I believe you deserve more than another guessing game.
My career began in massage therapy, working with college athletes. That experience inspired me to learn more about how the body works.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University in 1993 and my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 1998.
I've practiced chiropractic, taught massage therapy, developed educational programs, and spent 13 years teaching high school health sciences.
Today, I'm a Texas-licensed chiropractor and founder of Innate Hands Functional Medicine PLLC, where I provide online functional medicine education and individualized wellness support. My work focuses on helping women better understand digestive concerns, including bloating, brain fog, and patterns commonly associated with SIBO and intestinal permeability.
Through it all, one thing has remained constant.
I love helping people understand their bodies.
I enjoy explaining complicated concepts in everyday language and watching someone experience that moment when everything starts making sense.
Because I don't believe you should have to follow recommendations without understanding why.
I believe the body continually works toward balance, a process called homeostasis.
That belief, my personal experience, and my years of teaching shape how I approach functional medicine today.
At Innate Hands, I help professional women better understand their digestive concerns and take individualized, manageable steps toward their wellness goals.
My goal isn't to give you another complicated routine to follow forever.
It's to help you understand your body and develop healthy habits that become part of your life.
Because birthdays, holidays, vacations, and everyday moments should be enjoyed, not constantly planned around digestive worries.
I want you to understand your body, build healthy habits you can maintain, and enjoy your life.
That's the philosophy behind Gut Clear.
If you're tired of trying one thing after another without understanding why your digestive problems keep returning, I'd love to hear your story.
